Indonesia

Raja Ampat is made up of 1500 mostly untouched islands on the north-west tip of West Papua, Indonesia. The area abounds in pristine tropical beaches, sapphire seas and one of the world’s most spectacular marine habitats!

The Houtmand Abrolhos is a chain of 122 islands and coral reefs in the Indian Ocean, about 60km off the west coast of Australia. There are few places in Australia with more biodiversity and the islands are one of the world’s most important seabird breeding sites.
Indonesia

These volcanic islands are located in the center of the Indonesian archipelago. Composed of three major islands (Rinca, Komodo, and Padar) and numerous smaller ones, Komodo is surrounded by waters teaming with live – a true snorkeller & diver paradise! Though the islands are better known for their famous endemic giant lizards – the Komodo dragons (Varanus komodoensis).

Shark Bay World Heritage Area is one of the world’s greatest wilderness treasures, located on the edge of the Australian continent.
This westernmost part of Australia has a unique combination of wildlife, flora and stunning scenery unlike that found anywhere else!
Scoresby Sound

Beyond the Arctic Circle, the eastern coast of Greenland is laced with fjords. Scoresby Sound is the largest and deepest fjord system in the world. Formed of large steep-sided fjords from which abrupt cliffs, huge glaciers and drifting icebergs emerge. Summer in Scoresby Sound brings unforgettable sunsets and sunrises amidst massive floating icebergs. A truly otherworldly landscape!

Here are some of the highlights of an incredible 10-day expedition, cruising on zodiacs, kayaking, trekking and exploring the amazing scenery and wildlife of one of the last untouched wilderness wonders on our planet – Svalbard, in the Arctic region.
We explored this part of the planet with Southern Sea Ventures, a company that specializes kayaking expeditions in iconic and remote places around the world, and we were accompanied by a group of highly experienced guides and experts on board the MV Polar Pioneer.
Allow me to take you on a truly unforgettable journey, paddling under bright blue skies, around drifting pack ice, flying over glaciers, trekking on the Arctic tundra and walking on ice floes:

Exploring Komodo National Park, in the Indonesian archipelago, on a Kayak & Liveaboard Expedition brings the contrast of waters teaming with wildlife and dramatic landscapes of rugged hillsides, rock formations, mangroves and white and pink sandy beaches.
The island’s best known inhabitant – Varanus komodoensis – the Komodo Dragon roams the larger island while the rich waters surrounding it attracts a great diversity of species, including sea turtles, whales, dolphins, dugongs and stunning reef formations.
